Sherrod and Schatz both e-mail me and this is how I knew they were against it. "Thus, Mr. Risch, I expect you to stand against this and as for your free trade belief, I don't care if you order something from another country, but that is not the sorta free trade we speak of. By the way, since when do you get off supporting this President on anything?"
"I appreciate a lot of things we agree on and have thanked you many times but this....., really!! Would you like me to post info. on your website; actually I did. By the way, the John Birch Society does not agree with you either. And my friend Beau, her brothers Dale and Monty plus Tom do not agree with it either. You know all of them."
You can imagine Beau's reaction when I informed her I had name dropped. "What, they will haul me away to FEMA camp! So now I am the spokesman for the group here in Idaho and the JBS!" My reply was that I needed him to know I was not the only one in Idaho that felt that way. I also sorta offered to have me, her and Tom be a team to educate Mr. Risch at maybe a town hall meeting. "You did what? I am no good fast thinking like that on my feet!" I said in this little girl voice, "I'm sorry but...." She was kinda laughing but wondering what Risch might say or do next.
Senators Sherrod and Schatz were, I am quite sure were thrilled to know that they and the JBS agreed on something. Ha Ha! As for Tom's reaction when he finds out I volunteered his name; hmmmm! So we shall see how Mr. Risch reacts to my article and the names I volunteered. LOL
