Senator John McCain--Traitor to Veterans
By Susan Steffen-Kraft
Senator John McCain is backing is backing an amendment which happens to have been proposed by Democrats that would increase the amount of Afghan immigrants to the U.S. by up to 36%. This cost would end up being covered with cash originally set aside for U.S. veterans’ programs. “Congress cut healthcare benefits to veterans in the 2016 budget by increasing pharmacy co-pays — using some of those savings to fund an expansion of the Afghan Special Immigrant Visas program", according to The Daily Caller News Foundation.
So, not agreeing with what this from War Hero to War Zero did, I gave him a friendly little call. Ha Ha! When the staffer answered I told her what this was all about and then proceeded to blast him. I informed her that it seemed that Mr. McCain, who had been a veteran, had no problem taking from them and they certainly deserved more than a handshake and throwing you to the wolves now that they were no longer in the military. I reminded her to let him know that these veterans who had been sent over to these wars (which I do not support but I do support the men) certainly do not deserve to end up on the streets homeless. How dare he do something like this? Our government is having enough trouble getting our veterans the assistance they deserve without dipping into the funds that are suppose to belong to the veterans to help them.
I further suggested that if the Senator wants to give the veteran's money to the Afghan immigrants, he reach into his own pocketbook and take money out of his own pocket to help the veterans. I let her know that in my opinion he was not a Republican but a Democrat (actually a Progressive) in sheep's clothing and he needed to be voted out of office.
Yes, she got my name and where I was from to pass on to him. I was not shy at all about giving that.
